How-To Activate new Facebook Timeline, Enable it easily.

We all know that Facebook has gained a huge popularity among other social networking websites. Everyday more and more users are joining Facebook. This is only due to its very simple and user friendly interface. You can easily create your own social community among your friends with facebook. Where you can communicate or express your thoughts with each other in a very simple and interesting way. You can share Photos, Games, music, application and much more among your facebook social community.

Although Facebook provides nice looking user interface, but it can be managed more effectively with new Timeline launched by facebook. Facebook Timeline is nothing it is simply the configuration of your facebook profile page. In new Facebook Timeline, you can easily highlight posts, photos and events on facebook profile. You get a 7-day preview period after activating new facebook timeline. You can easily highlight or hide any part on new timeline without seeing anybody else during 7-day preview period. You can also publish new timeline at any time to make it live among your facebook social community. Otherwise it will be published automatically after 7-day preview period.

New Facebook Timeline provides lots of powerful features like you can hide any specific part on your facebook profile; decide which parts to highlight on your facebook profile, who can see your content, add a cover photo to your facebook profile and much more. So if you are ready to give a surprise to your friends by giving your facebook profile a new look, then you can activate new Facebook Timeline to enable some interesting features. You can activate new facebook timeline in simple steps as given below:-

Firstly Log in to your facebook account. Tick the option keep me logged in before Log in.

Now go to New Time line about page by clicking here. http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline

This will carry you to Facebook timeline page. Just click on Get Timeline link given as shown in below image.

Navigate to top of web page. Click on Publish Now to activate the new facebook timeline and you’re done. The new facebook timeline will be activated on your facebook profile. Also You get a 7-day preview period. In this period, you can customize new Timeline in any way as per your choice as explained in below steps without showing new timeline with your friends.

Now you can personalize your Timeline as per your choice as illustrated below:-

Hide Posts, Photos or any part from timeline.

Scroll down to different parts of timeline. Navigate cursor over upper right corner of any part of timeline. You will see a pencil icon having label Edit or Remove. Here you can easily pin this part to top of facebook timeline, hide this part or delete this part from timeline by drop-down list. You can also hide any post or photos from your timeline. Just click on drop-down menu as shown in below image. Click on hide from Page to hide that specific post or photo.

Highlight any Post, Photo or any part on Timeline.

But if you want to highlight any part or post. You can expand any post across full page to give it a better look for your friends. Just go to upper right hand side option box by moving mouse pointer over the star icon as shown in below image. This will expand the post or photo over the full width.

Hide sidebar

Also you can hide sidebar by highlighting the timeline parts across the page. The specific part will be expanded across the full width. It will remove the sidebar.

No Advertisements

In new timeline look, you will not see any advertisement till now. As advertisements are shown on right hand side in older facebook look.

Set any Welcome image on you Timeline.

You can set Facebook cover photo to display across the page. This provides a very beautiful and profession look to Facebook timeline.

View your activity log

You can easily view the activities done on your facebook profile page. Just Go to Admin panel in new Timeline. Select activity log from drop-down list under Manage tab. You will see all activity log of your all facebook activities given date-wise.

After editing all the timeline parts, Scroll back to top of web page and Hit Publish Now option.
